A busy month as Christmas approaches……..

It has been a busy month for us, as we prepare for Christmas to support the many people who need our help. Preparations are well underway and thank you to everyone who has supported us, many year in year out at this time of year and to our volunteers Val coordinating all the gifts again, Gill and Julie for all the collecting. It is getting busier as the cost of living goes up and up and the squeeze on many families budgets. This month alone we have delivered over 50 emergency food parcels from our own foodbank stock and issued over £1,500 of supermarket vouchers to enable those struggling to put food on the table, buy essentials to support themselves and their families or put fuel in their cars to get to work. Thank you to everyone who puts items in the community baskets at Aldi and Sainsbury’s to keep our foodbank stock running, all the donations and fundraising to our account, the community grants we have been awarded this year, RSPCA for their foodbank donations and vet voucher scheme and BonBons for their fabulous sweets donation all year. It will get busier for us as Christmas draws nearer, and even busier in the New Year when the festivities end. Thanks everyone for your support year in year out.
